Tim Butler serves as Chief Financial Officer of CAIRE, bringing more than 21 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. He combines deep actuarial expertise with strategic financial leadership, supporting the organization’s financial strength, disciplined risk management, and long-term growth objectives.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Mathematical Finance. He is an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA). In addition, he holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Reinsurance (ARe), and Associate in Accounting and Finance (AIAF) designations, reflecting broad expertise across actuarial science, underwriting, reinsurance, and financial management.

Throughout his career, Tim has led initiatives across pricing, reserving, product development, capital management, and financial reporting. He has extensive experience partnering with executive leadership to strengthen capital positioning, enhance profitability, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Tim brings significant experience within Florida’s highly regulated insurance marketplace, having worked with private carriers, a consulting firm, Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, and the Florida Department of Financial Services. This diverse background provides him with a comprehensive understanding of regulatory expectations, financial oversight, and operational execution.
